While writing a tool to check through my website whether my server was up and running or not I noticed that Grendel slowly dies when you use the PHP fsockopen() to connect to the server. This also reminds me to some "mysterious" bugs which I've seen after a New connection which might have been portscanners which also caused Grendel to die. (Though I'm not sure whether the last thing is true yes/no, neither if it depends on the platform used)
